Not every acoustic element is equally suitable for every property – because room acoustic requirements and design demands are as individual as the rooms themselves. That is why we offer two product lines, WOOPIES and WOOPIES LIGHT, which clearly differ in terms of their areas of application, design options and design language.

While our classic WOOPIES acoustic modules with their characteristic pressed edge can be used in a variety of ways – from wall design to room dividers – WOOPIES LIGHT focus on individuality, as they can be flexibly manufactured in any shape and size for walls or ceilings according to customer requirements. The right solution depends largely on the use of the space and the acoustic and aesthetic requirements.

Below, we present the two product lines, highlight the differences between them and explain in which situations WOOPIES are the better choice – and when WOOPIES LIGHT really come into their own. This will help you find the acoustic element that best suits your requirements.

Versatile acoustic modules for walls, ceilings, as room dividers, partition walls or as desk or furniture attachments

WOOPIES are our stylish acoustic elements made of wool, which impress with their wide range of applications in any room. The distinctive pressed edge gives them their stylish, three-dimensional design, which is available with a classic, unstructured surface or with striking horizontal embossing. WOOPIES acoustic modules are available in a variety of sizes and shapes – either rectangular, square or semi-circular/round – in more than 50 loden colours. In addition to classic installation on ceilings or walls, we also offer WOOPIES acoustic elements as free-hanging room dividers, flexible partition walls or as modular desk and furniture attachments. This enables us to meet even complex acoustic requirements and create comfortable indoor environments.

WOOPIES LIGHT

Ideal for acoustic baffles and customised acoustic solutions on walls and ceilings

WOOPIES LIGHT stands for tailor-made acoustic solutions that also enable the implementation of special projects such as a baffle ceiling. Timeless and elegant in appearance, they are characterised by their two-dimensional surface and open edges, which, unlike the classic WOOPIES, are not pressed. Their surface is also available in more than 50 loden colours. WOOPIES LIGHT wall elements can be freely cut to size as individual acoustic elements, so that in addition to our standard shapes, customised special shapes such as unusual acoustic baffles are also possible. WOOPIES LIGHT are optimised for wall and ceiling mounting. Thanks to the great freedom in shape, colour and size, the product line is suitable for impressive room experiences with optimal room acoustics.

We do not offer off-the-shelf products! Each acoustic element is produced individually and specifically for the respective customer project. In a personal consultation, we determine which solution best meets the customer's needs. We analyse room plans, measure the reverberation time on request and make design suggestions. We only offer as many acoustic panels as are really needed to improve the room acoustics. Our two lines, WOOPIES and WOOPIES LIGHT, offer the variety needed to find the perfect solution for your project. Whether this can be found within our standard dimensions or whether customised acoustic elements from our WOOPIES LIGHT line are required, we will find out during a joint appointment.

This depends very much on the purpose of the room, the usual number of people in it, the reverberation time and, ultimately, the preferred aesthetics. However, as a general rule, our classic WOOPIES in the form of room dividers, partition walls, desk or furniture attachments offer excellent solutions for office spaces that require zoning or screening.

If you cannot find a suitable acoustic element for walls or ceilings within our standard dimensions, WOOPIES LIGHT offers the option of manufacturing customised acoustic panels. If you want a ceiling with acoustic baffles, WOOPIES LIGHT is the only way to go. In any case, you should contact us for individual advice.

WOOPIES LIGHT can be cut to size and shape using a precision cutter according to customer requirements. Of course, acoustic elements require a certain amount of space in order to improve room acoustics – we are happy to advise you on this. Otherwise, there are no limits to your creativity up to a size of 3000 mm x 1400 mm.

No, both lines can be installed on the ceiling using a continuously adjustable and almost invisible cable system, regardless of whether they are planned as a baffle ceiling or with horizontally suspended acoustic elements. We also offer a magnetic system for installation on walls or in rooms with low ceilings. Partition walls, table tops and furniture attachments are supplied with their own brackets for the acoustic elements.

Both lines are available with a premium loden surface in over 50 colours. We manufacture the absorber cores for both lines from the same material (60% virgin wool/40% textile binding fibre, up to 60% recycled material from our own production and pre-production). The classic WOOPIES also feature a back plate made of 50% virgin wool / 50% textile binding fibre (up to 60% recycled material from our own production and pre-production).

The acoustic elements can be removed for cleaning at any time. The panels can be vacuumed on both sides and at the edges using an upholstery brush (no rotating brush!). Please avoid using water and rubbing the surface at the same time.

We have had both lines tested in accordance with EN ISO 11925-2. According to the classification standard EN 1350-1, the panels achieve Euroclass E. The result corresponds to class B2 (normal flammability) according to DIN 4102. No burning debris and/or dripping is apparent.
